Unsaturated fats
Unsaturated fats are found primarily in plant-based foods and are usually liquid at room temperature. Eating more unsaturated fats (instead of saturated fats such as butter and lard) can help lower cholesterol and heart-related health risks. There are two main types of unsaturated fats: monounsaturated (such as olive and canola oils) and polyunsaturated (such as corn, sunflower, safflower, and soybean oils).
