Saint Mary's Hospital Cardiac Care Facility
The advanced cardiac care facility comprises of three components: an operating room, a devoted intensive care unit and a laboratory for diagnosing heart ailments and performing angioplasties.
The operating room had been expanded to include state-of-the-art equipment. One wall of the operating room displays a flat screen plasma monitor that provides vital statistic information to the operating room staff.
The intensive cardiovascular unit is an eight bed unit that allows hospital staff to provide pre and post operation patient care optimally in one location.
The renovated catherterization laboratory is also used for performing angioplasties, procedures that unblock clogged arteries.
The advanced cardiac care is equipped with highly trained and skilled hospital staff that are available around the clock to keep the heart center beating 24 hours a day.
